All postprocessing functionalities for a composite model are available directly in the Mechanical application's model. When a Static Structural system is linked with the Engineering Data, Geometry, and Model of the ACP (Pre) component, the composite definitions (section data) are automatically transferred to the Static Structural system. The Mechanical application uses two composite tools embedded in the Solution branch: the Composite Failure Tool and Composite Sampling Point Tool. The Composite Failure Tool calculates the Inverse Reserve Factor, Safety Factor, and Margin of Safety. The Composite Sampling Point Tool enables you to evaluate stresses, strains, failures, and material information in detail at specific locations within the composite laminate.

The complete composite shell model is now ready to be analyzed in the Mechanical application.
