13.1.1. Classification of Frequency Response Entities

Frequency Response entities can be classified as actuator or channel as follows.

Actuator

Actuator defines the magnitude of the applied force.

Swept-Sine Actuator Use to define amplitude and phase of sine function.
Rotating Mass Actuator Use to represent the force due to a rotating mass located at a radial offset from an axis of rotation in plane.

Channel

Channel provides ports in your system by applying an input force and measuring an output response.
