A new frictional model is now in Beta using TB, FRIC, TBOPT=ATAN. This option models frictional stress as a continuous function of sliding velocity using an arctangent relation. Because the frictional stress is continuously differentiable with this option, it should help in non-linear problems that are having difficulty converging.
