The VistaTF program and numerical method is extremely robust, especially in unchoked flows and when running from an existing restart file and there should generally be no numerical problems with sensible geometries. Nevertheless convergence problems and unexpected program errors can still occur. These are described in detail in Appendix B: Troubleshooting, which is very extensive and covers most known problems so far experienced with the program, nearly all of which have been solved in the latest versions.
