1.1. Autodyn Application Layout

Autodyn provides a user-friendly graphical user interface combining pre-processor, solver, and post-processor in the same windows environment.

A single executable performs simulations in both two and three dimensions. The user interface is laid out with buttons running horizontally along the top and vertically down the left hand side of the main window. The horizontal group of buttons is referred to as the toolbar and the vertical group as the navigation bar. The toolbar and navigation bar offer quick access to options also available through the pull-down menus.

The main window is composed of a number of panels (View, Dialog, Message, and Command Line).

Caution:  Scaling is not recommended when using the Autodyn user interface. Using the scaling option will result in distorted menus and panels that may prevent you from seeing the entire contents.
