Remote Solve Manager (RSM) needs to acquire and cache your credentials to be able to submit jobs to an HPC resource on your behalf. RSM's direct integration with Workbench and built-in caching capability automates this process to a great extent.
When you submit a job to RSM from Workbench for the first time, and your credentials have not yet been cached for the RSM queue in RSM, or the cached password does not validate because your OS password has changed or expired, you are prompted to specify credentials for that queue:
If the credentials validate, the job is submitted to the HPC resource. If the credentials do not validate, the job is aborted.
