Creating a New Project

When Workbench opens, it displays a blank Project Schematic that you can start adding systems to. If you need to open a new blank Project Schematic, you can create a new project.

To create a new project:

  1. From the menu bar, select File > New.

    If you have added a system to the Project Schematic, the following message is displayed:

    The project has been modified. Do you want to save it?

  2. To save the modified project before opening the new one:

    1. From the dialog box, select Yes.

    2. Type a name for the project.

    3. Browse to the location you want to save the project in.

      Note:  Ansys recommends saving the project to a local drive rather than a network drive due to performance reasons.

    4. Click Save.

    To delete the project, click No.
