Controlling the Display of Job Details

When you select a job in the Jobs pane, a corresponding job log is displayed in the Details pane. The log automatically scrolls to the bottom to keep the most recent messages in view.

If you right-click the job log, a context-sensitive menu is displayed which contains the following options:

CopyCopy selected text in the Details pane.

Alternatively, you can use the Ctrl+C key combination.

Select AllSelect all of the text in the Details pane.

Alternatively, you can use the Ctrl+A key combination.

Save Job Report...Save the job log to a file.

The job report includes job details and the contents of the job log shown in the Details pane.

To save the job report:

  1. Specify the following report preferences:

    • Include Debug Messages: adds debugging messages to the report

    • Include Log Time Stamp: adds a log time stamp to the report

    • Include Line Numbering: displays line numbering in the report

  2. Click Browse

  3. In the File name field, type in the name of the report (RSMJob.html by default).

  4. Select the report format (HTML or text)

  5. Click Save.

View Line NumbersToggle the display of line numbers at the beginning of each line in the job log.
View Time StampsToggle the display of time stamps at the beginning of each line in the job log.
View Exclusively File MessagesOnly display file-related messages in the job log, such as those relating to file transfers.
View Debug MessagesToggle the display of debugging information in the job log.
SubTask FiltersFilters the content of the job log by design point sub-task. This option is only displayed when the job contains design points.
Scroll to TopGo to the top of the job log.
Scroll to BottomGo to the bottom of the job log.
