Creating a Connection to an Ansys Minerva Site

To be able to save a Workbench project to or retrieve a project from Ansys Minerva (directly from Workbench), you must create a connection between your local Workbench installation and an Ansys Minerva site.

A connection contains information about the server hosting Ansys Minerva, the database to use, and the authentication type.

To create a connection in Workbench:

  1. From the menu bar, select Tools > Options.

  2. From the list, select Ansys Minerva

  3. Specify a Authentication Type for the connection.

Note:   Select the method that matches what is configured for the Ansys Minerva server you are connecting to.

    • Basic—Uses a username and password to authenticate using the internal mechanism within Ansys Minerva.

    • Browser—Uses the browser to authenticate. If you are logged into Ansys Minerva in the browser, those credentials are used.

    • Windows—Uses Active Directory to pass the credentials of the user currently logged into the Ansys Minerva server.

  4. Enter the Server URL address of the Ansys Minerva server.

  5. Enter the Ansys Minerva Database to access.

  6. Click OK.
