The following section presents the enhancements and changes for AVxcelerate Lighting and Sensors 2024 R2 release.
This section describes the enhancements introduced in AVxcelerate Lighting and Sensors 2024 R2 release.
AVxcelerate Lighting and Sensors now supports the 2023.2 version of AVSimulation SCANeR™ for co-simulation between AVxcelerate Lighting and Sensors and AVSimulation SCANeR™.
When installing AVxcelerate Lighting and Sensors, you can select the AVxcelerate SCANeR Lighting and Sensors Co-Simulation Library then set the SCANeR Installation location to either a 2021 SCANeR folder or a 2023 SCANeR folder to get the SCANeR configuration and resources compatible with the AVSimulation SCANeR™ version that you are using (2021.1 or 2023.2).
You can now perform Co-simulation with CarMaker version 12.0.1. The AVxcelerate CarMaker Lighting and Sensors Cosimulation Library has been enriched with a sample project as well as TestRuns, roads and assets for this CarMaker 12 version.
AVxcelerate Lighting and Sensors is compatible with CarMaker versions 10.2.1, 11.0 and 12.0.1. CarMaker 9 is no longer supported.
This section describes the changes introduced in AVxcelerate Lighting and Sensors 2024 R2 release.
In the 2024 R2 release, the Ansys AVxcelerate products join other Ansys software solutions for which licensing capabilities can be obtained through Shared Web Licensing. In the Ansys Licensing Settings Utility you can enable Shared Web Licensing which offers the possibility to use:
A local or roaming license which allows you to check out the required licenses from the cloud for offline use. With this setup, licenses are run locally for a limited duration of time, and can be checked out with respect to defined user groups and license availabilities.
A distant license which is run on the cloud and is shared between users according to user groups and license availabilities.
For more information on Shared Web Licensing, see Ansys Shared Web Licensing User's Guide
We recommend you update your NVIDIA GPU driver to a specific version, refer to AVxcelerate Lighting and Sensors Requirements.
The LiDAR and ROM radar features have been deprecated in the 2021 R1 version and the ground truth sensors feature has been deprecated from the 2024 R1 version.
LiDAR and ROM radar and the ground truth sensors (*.lidar, *.radar and *.gtsensor files) are no longer provided in the libraries.
The Simulink blocks associated to these sensors have been removed from the AVxcelerate Toolbox for Simulink.
For sensors simulations, we recommend using AVxcelerate Sensors Simulator, for more information refer to AVxcelerate Sensors Simulator User's Guide.
