Generate Fluent's Solver Input and System Coupling Participant Setup Files

Generate the solver input and System Coupling Participant setup files needed to include Fluent in the co-simulation.

  1. Enable auto-generation of the .scp file.

    1. Select File > Export > System Coupling > Auto-write SCP File.

      The Auto-write SCP File dialog opens.

    2. Verify that Auto-write SCP File with Case File is selected.

    3. Click OK to close the dialog.

    With this setting enabled, the .scp file will be generated each time a .cas.h5 file is produced or updated for this case.

    Tip:  The .scp file can also be generated on demand by selecting Export > System Coupling > Write SCP File.

  2. Generate the solver input and .scp files.

    1. Select File > Write > Case.

      The Select File dialog opens.

    2. For Case File, name the file ElectricMotorSteadyStationary.cas.h5 and click OK.

      Fluent writes a .cas.h5 file and an .scp file of the specified name to the coupling working directory.

    3. Select File > Exit.

Fluent closes.
