Opening an External Project

This function provides access to projects stored in external data sources. Several data formats and protocols are supported.

To open an external project:

  1. From the menu bar, select File > Open project > Open project from external location.

  2. In the From section, set the location where the external project is stored.

    1. Select an option from the Type list.

      Format/ProtocolSource
      FilesystemFile on a local computer or in the network
      SubversionURL to a location and a revision in a SVN repository
      PuTTY_SSHHost name and file on a network computer
      Custom File AccessLocation and revision

    2. Set the path to the file location. The method for doing so depends on the type previously selected.

  3. In the To section, click  .

  4. Browse to the location where you want to save the local copy of the project and click Save.

  5. Click OK.
