This Extraction Tool Kit (ETK) interface processes Adams by MSC Software result files. Adams is a multi-body dynamics and motion analysis software. The Adams dialog consists of an informative analysis section and a selection section.
The results file (*.res) provides:
Default calculations in global coordinate system, part displacements, and constraint reaction forces
Data for plotting in Adams and postprocessing.
Analysis
After importing the file containing time dependent simulation results in XML format (binary Adams result files are not supported by ETK), the following information is displayed:
Name: The analysis name.
Application: The Adams application environment.
Date: Creation date of the Adams file.
Solver: The solver used to create the file.
Script: The solver script.
Model: The name of the analyzed model.
File size: The size of the Adams file and the time needed to scan the file.
Selection
The controls of this section are used to identify the desired variable that is extracted in a hierarchical order.
Type: Select the general analysis type, such as general force or beam analysis.
Entity: Select the analyzed entity.
Component: Select the analyzed geometrical component.
Data: Select the kind of data to be extracted like initial conditions or dynamic data.
Step: Select the integration step or steps.
The Data and Step controls define the extraction of a single value at an explicit point in time or a time based signal of the given window.
