7.5. Detailed Chemistry Direct Integration Approach

In the detailed chemistry direct integration (DCDI) approach, detailed chemical kinetics equations are directly integrated over time in all cells. The cells are modeled as well-stirred reactors. The propagation of the high temperature front (flame front) is driven by the reaction-diffusion in the reacting flow. The DCDI approach is likely to be sensitive to the mesh resolution at the flame front zone and the kinetics mechanism.
