35.3. Watertight Geometry Workflows: Unified Topology Layer (UTL)

When using the watertight geometry workflow to create a Unified Topology Layer (UTL) mesh, as described in Unified Topology Layer (UTL), you can select geometrical bodies by Topology for the following tasks:


Note:  To enable the UTL approach, you must start the meshing mode of Fluent with the Pro licensing level.


  • Add Local Sizing

  • Set up Periodic Boundaries

  • Create Local Refinement Regions

  • Add Boundary Type

  • Describe Geometry

  • Add Boundary Layers

  • Add Multizone Controls

  • Update Boundaries

  • Extrude Volume Mesh

  • Transform Volume Mesh
