44.1. Setting up Fluent for Arm

To set up Fluent for Arm, perform the following steps:

  1. Request the Fluent for Arm package from Ansys support and download it. This package provides an aarch64 installation for Arm.

  2. Install the Fluent for Arm package:

    1. Extract the package contents using the following command:

      tar xf Fluent_install-lnarm64-24.2.0-<BID>.tar

      where <BID> is the build ID.

    2. Run the installer using the following command, and follow the prompts:

      sh Fluent_install-lnarm64-24.2.0.sh

    Note:  It is recommended that you use one of the following on Arm:

    • Rocky Linux 8.9*

    • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8.8* / 9.3*

    (*) Prerequisites: libICE, libnsl2, libSM, pcre2-utf16.

  3. Set up the environment.
