If you are upgrading across several releases, you may find it helpful to consult the Migration Manuals for the intervening releases as well. You can find these in the Ansys Help on the customer site, by selecting the appropriate release from the drop-down menu on the Home page.

When you write journals using this release, then you should add the text command /file/set-tui-version "24.2" at the top of the file. This text command will help when you run the journal in a future release, as it will hide any new text user interface (TUI) prompts that have been added and will restore any prompts that have been removed. It is intended to help with backwards compatibility with future releases (up to two full releases after the release the journal file was created in/for).
