This program attempts to check the integrity of the EnSight Gold (or EnSight6) file formats. Most files that pass this check will be able to be read by EnSight (see Other Notes). If EnSight Gold (or EnSight6) data fails to read into EnSight, one should run it through this checker to see if any problems are found.

Ens_checker makes no attempt to check the validity of floating point values, such as coordinates, results, etc. It is just checking the existence and format of such.
