2.5.2. Review Shared Web Licensing Transactions

The Web>Transactions page displays all assigned license usage data for a specific customer. From the page, you can filter the data in multiple ways as well as export the data in a .csv format.

Viewing and Filtering Transaction Data

To view the transaction data for a specific customer, open the Ansys Licensing Portal, select the appropriate customer and then click the Transactions option. The Transactions page includes the current data in table format.

Clicking the arrow to the left of any transaction gives you specific details for that transaction.

Filtering the Entire Transaction Table

To sort the entire table by date, you can click the date drop-down field on the upper left of the page. From this date drop-down you have a variety of sorting options including days, months, year to date, 1 year, last month, last quarter and last year. You can also perform a custom date range by clicking the Custom option and selecting your date range.

In addition to the date filtering, you can enable the Active Session filter option to view only the active sessions.

Filtering by Individual Columns

Using the functionality located at the top of each column allows you to filter and sort the data in several ways.

Clicking the arrow option next to each column title allows you to arrange the data in either ascending or descending order.

The 3-line icon located at the right of each column provides you with filters based upon the data in that column. For columns that contain dates you can filter by “Contains” only, while columns that contain integers can only be filtered by “Equals”. All other columns have the option to filter by either “Contains” or “Equals”. You can use filters on multiple columns to display the exact data you desire.

Filtering Date Columns

Clicking the 3-line icon displays a contains field where you can enter the date you wish to filter by. Entering 2024 will cause the table to dynamically display only those transactions that have occurred in the year 2024, while entering 2024-06 will display only those transactions that occurred in June of 2024.

Note:  When filtering columns with dates, you must use the exact date format used in the column (i.e. YEAR-MONTH-DAY HOUR:MINUTE:SECOND). Using any other format will display an error.

Filtering Other Columns

The 3-line icon for other columns includes both the “Contains” and “Equals” options. Selecting Contains and entering text causes the table to dynamically filter by the characters you enter. Selecting Equals filters by the exact characters entered.

Clearing Column Filters

After performing your column filters, you can clear all filters by clicking the Clear Filters option located at the top right of the page. This option clears all column filters that are currently active, returning the page to the default format.

Exporting the Transaction Data to a .CSV File

Clicking the Export as csv file option located on the upper right of the page downloads a .CSV file containing all the “parent” level data for the specified date range. The export does not include the details for the transactions.
