Including Bodies with QuickScope

Prerequisites: Before using the QuickScope tool, set the tool options, available from the Simulation Options and in the Scoping options in the Physics defaults, available in the Discovery settings.
Then, to pick the bodies to include in the simulation:
  1. If necessary, select options from Include to specify how QuickScope selection should include or exclude bodies, the visual progress effects, and what to do when finished.
These selections override the default Simulations Options and are useful if, for example, your organizational process requires specific physics models or convergence criteria to be used for all (or most) simulations, which don’t match the Ansys defaults.
  2. Expand the Include options if you want to Create named selections for included bodies or Hide excluded bodies.
  3. Select bodies in the model to include in the simulation, or click the Scope icon next to the body in the model tree.
If you’ve opted to automatically create a named selection group, the bodies included during the QuickScope session are added to a named selection group and appear in Advanced Selection > Groups > Named Selection list with the QuickScope Group default name. Hover over the tree to highlight the objects in the group and click the group to select them. .
