Installation and Licensing Advisories
The documented memory requirement for installing Discovery has been changed to 16 GB RAM or greater. Previously, it was documented as 32 GB RAM or greater.
2024 R2 will be the last release to support the Legacy Named User Subscription option. It will be replaced with web-based Named User licensing at 2025 R1.
In general, Discovery maintains support of cards for as long as NVIDIA drivers and SDKs allow. For a list of NVIDIA cards no longer supported at 2024 R2, see Installation Prerequisites.
SpaceClaim Advisories
SpaceClaim 2024 R2 will be the last version based on ACIS. You should plan your migration to Discovery.
SpaceClaim will be removed from the Ansys unified installers at Release 2025 R1.
File Import and Export Support Advisories
For export, support for CATIA V5 Assembly and CATIA V5 Part have been dropped.
