Rocky has been designed to be used in conjunction with CAD design tools, such as Ansys SpaceClaim; CFD tools, such as Ansys Fluent; and FEA tools, such as Ansys Mechanical. As a result, Rocky will have similar system requirements. Please see below for minimum system requirements and optional recommendations.
64-bit OS: Currently Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2022, CentOS (7.7 / 7.8/ 7.9), Red Hat 8.5, Ubuntu 20.04 and Ubuntu 22.04 are supported;
A graphics card that supports OpenGL;
4 GB of free disk space;
4 GB of RAM;
Two-button mouse with center wheel;
Screen resolution of 1280 x 1024.

Note: If you choose to run Rocky on another Linux-based platform, please do so for your own testing purposes only. You can also help improve the future functionality of Rocky by reporting any issues you discover to the Rocky Support Team. (See also Submit a Support Request.)
One or more Nvidia GPU cards (computing or gaming), each with the following criteria:
At least 4 GB memory;
Fast double-precision processing capabilities;*
A CUDA compute capability of 6.0** or higher. for a list of GPUs and their compute capabilities.);
A graphics driver version that supports the CUDA version 11.7 toolkit or higher.
* Fast double-precision for DEM simulations and single-precision for SPH simulations.
** Cards with a CUDA compute capability as low as 3.5 might still work with Rocky, but are not guaranteed.
