Ansys Chemkin’s Gas-phase and Surface Kinetics utilities presume that the standard-state thermodynamic properties of all species (regardless of phase) are functions of temperature only. For gas-phase species, this assumption corresponds to the gas being thermally "perfect". The temperature-dependent properties are input in the form of polynomial fits.
