When the Ansys Chemkin Interface is run, it uses a combination of registry settings, environment variables, and batch files to establish its operational environment. Since the environment is established in this way, all Chemkin jobs need to be launched from a DOS window and within that window the run_chemkin_env_setup.bat file must be called before running the job. These details are hidden by the use of shortcut files to launch the Chemkin Interface and manage Chemkin license utilities. When the Chemkin Interface launches other jobs, it handles these requirements as part of the job execution. To run Chemkin from the command line, however, you will need to know how to establish this runtime environment.
Note: Ansys Chemkin does not support Windows HPC (High Performance Computing) as of R2021 R1.
