Imports a PATRAN Neutral file. The external import routine is ImportPatran. Reads packet 01 (nodes) as nodes, packet 02 (elements) as elements, and nodes (type 5) from packet 21 (named groups) as regions. A command line option is available to read packet 06 (loads) as regions also. All other packets are read, but not processed.

Available options are:

-v Verbose output. Echo additional data to stdout during the import.

-l Import packet 06 (distributed loads) as regions. The regions will be assigned the name PatranLoad<X> where the <X> is replaced by the load ID number.
