CFX-Pre is the physics-definition preprocessor for Ansys CFX. You import meshes (which can be produced in a variety of mesh generation software packages) into CFX-Pre and select physical models^[1] to be used in the CFD simulation. Files produced by CFX-Pre are sent to CFX-Solver.
