Linear hydrodynamic damping caused by radiation potential is discussed in Hydrodynamic Radiation and Diffraction Analysis by Source Distribution Method. In this chapter, some additional hull drag forces due to wind and current, nonlinear roll damping induced by bilge vortex shedding, and the wave drift damping due to the small forward speed, are discussed.
