1.4. Saving a File

When you save the current viewer file to your local system, it will include any changes that you have made to the view since you opened it, such as new or modified views, or added markup.

Note that the view that is current when you perform a save will become the default view when you subsequently open that file in the viewer.

To save a file:

  1. Click   on the toolbar.

  2. In the Save As dialog box, select a save location and specify a file name, then click Save. An .avz file will be saved in the saved in the specified location.

Note:

  • The Save action is not available when viewing SpaceClaim .scdoc files.

  • The Save action is not available when viewing an .avz file that is part of an Ansys Viewer Archive (.avzm) file.

  • The Save action is not available when viewing Ansys Report .arz files. However, you can print the report if desired. See Printing a Report in Ansys Report Viewer.
