The purpose of this archive is to provide a documentation location for features, elements, theory, and commands that are still available for use but are no longer being actively developed.

The Mechanical APDL product continues to provide limited support for capabilities documented in this archive. While Ansys, Inc. testing, error correction, Class 3 Error reporting, and technical support are maintained for these capabilities, new feature development or technical enhancement is unlikely to occur. In most cases, access via the graphical user interface (GUI) is no longer available.

While the features in this archive remain available for use, better alternatives are available and recommended in most cases.
