Generating an Analysis Report

Sound: Analysis and Specification allows you to generate analysis reports in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, for temporal, spectral signals and time frequency representations. The context feature to generate an analysis report is related to each type of signal or representation.

To Generate An Analysis Report:

Prerequisites: You need the Microsoft Office Suite. You need to open a temporal signal, spectrum or time-frequency representation.
  1. Click a temporal signal, a spectrum or a time-frequency representation.
  2. Depending of the signal type, go to the Tools menu and choose:

    • Temporal report to display the Time domain report dialog box.

    • Spectral report to display the Frequency domain report dialog box.

    • Time Frequency report to display the Time-frequency report dialog box.

  3. Enter a title for the report.
  4. If you are creating a temporal report, select the First and the Second representations on which to report.
  5. If you are creating a spectral report, select the Time domain and Frequency domain representations on which to report.
  6. Add comments.
  7. Click OK to generate and display the report.
    Tip: Add other signal representations to the report by using the Copy as an image in the right-click menu.

The Analysis Report is generated.
