Q Factor
The Q (or quality) factor of a filter is a measure of the steepness of the frequency
response around its center or cutoff frequency. A high-Q filter will have a narrow passband
or a steep cutoff while a low-Q filter will have a wide passband or shallow cutoff. High
values of Q will also introduce a more pronounced resonant peak.
