Doing 3D Map Post-Processing
With 3D map Post-Processing, you can compute illuminance or luminance directly on a 3D geometry.
You must have opened a 3D map resulting from a direct simulation.
Warning: Illuminance post-processing gives same result as standard simulation result except that it can be displayed in false or true color.
Warning: Measuring a strongly tilted area in a XM3 result with a ray file post-processing applied may lead
to wrong results as ray file post-processing is an approximation. Ansys recommends to measure
the same area with a Radiance sensor or an Observer sensor.
Click Post-processing,Irradiance/Illuminance from ray file....
-Or-
Click Post-processing, Radiance/Luminance from ray file....
A box appears.
Set the parameters.
Click to launch the post-processing.
A progress bar appears.
An illuminance or luminance 3D map appears.
If you want to select a false or true color display, use the color list. If you want to change the unit display, use the unit list. Radiometric unit is displayed in W/(m².sr), and photometric unit in cd/m².
