Importing a XML Template

The following procedure helps you manually import a XML template to apply the information to a loaded XMP map.

To import a XML template:

Prerequisites:

You must have opened a XMP map in the viewer first.

You must make sure that the measurement areas are located inside the XMP map to which you apply the XML template file.

  1. In the viewer, click File > Import template
  2. In the Import template window, click Open and select a XML template file to load.
  3. According to the options you want to apply to the loaded XMP map, check if necessary:
    • Apply display options: applies all the options that change the display of the data.
    • Apply measures: applies the areas, measures and rules.
    • Adjust the areas to the map: adjusts automatically the template area to your map area. For example, if your map is smaller than the template, some areas of the template will be outside of the measurement area after the import. You can then resize it manually (option not selected) or to have this done automatically (option selected).
  4. Click OK to import the XML template file.
The XML template file is imported and the selected options are applied to the loaded XMP map.
