Virtual Image Distance

The Virtual Image Distance test gives the distance between a sample of the eyebox and the center of the virtual image for this eyebox sample.

In detail:

For each sample EBij of the binocular eyebox, the Virtual Image Distance gives the distance from the sample EBij of the binocular eyebox to the center of the virtual image seen from the sample EBij of the binocular eyebox.

The Virtual Image Distance is expressed in millimeter.

Note: In the plugin, the dynamic distortion (the virtual image seen from the sample EBij) is computed in three dimensions.

The result of the computation is displayed as a table that contains the Virtual Image Distance computed for each sample EBij of the binocular eyebox.

In particular, you can notice that:
  • There is one table result per configuration created.
  • Each table has the size of the sampling of the binocular eyebox.
  • The test also displays a sum up for each configuration of the Average, the Standard deviation, the Minimum and the Maximum of the value contained in the table.
