Defining a Plan Face

This procedure helps you define a plan back face or a plan front face during a projection lens creation.

To create a plan face:

Prerequisites: You must have set the Back face type or Front face type to Plan.

1. In the Back / Front Face section, define the Aperture diameter of the lens' back / front face in mm.
2. If needed, in the Aspheric table, define the 29 aspherical values corresponding to the aspherical coefficients.
   
   

   These coefficients are used to adjust the lens or remove any construction aberration.

   Note: For more information on the aspherical coefficients, refer to Understanding Projection Lens Parameters.

The plan face has been defined.

If not yet defined, define the aspherical or automatic characteristics of the other face.
