Warning: Some Faces Are too Small to Be Meshed

This warning message appears in case Speos has failed to mesh a face. For more information refer to Meshing Warnings.

To try to correct the issue, you can analyze the problematic faces:
  1. Double-click the warning to select all the faces impacted.

  2. Locate where the faces and bodies are, using one of these two options:
    • Copy/paste in structure tree (Ctrl + C then Ctrl + V)
    • Create a group and explode it.
  3. Analyze the face:
    1. In the Measure tab, use the SpaceClaim Measure tool .

An incorrect face should result as a line or area equal to or less than 0.

    2. Use the Check Geometry SpaceClaim option (only if used the copy/paste option in step 2) to look for self-intersections, topology errors, etc.

  4. Try to modify the impacted faces according to the analysis.
  5. However, if all three following conditions are met, contact the Ansys support:
    • Face area is greater than 0
    • There is no error on Check geometry
    • The face is different in CATIA (if you performed an external CATPart import)
