Known Issue Workaround or Solution
Multiselection Issue: when you first select a Speos Component from the Simulation panel, then select using [ctrl] a geometry from the Structure panel, the selection of the Speos Component is lost. (TFS 1009970) To perform the multiselection, select the geometries from the Structure panel first, then the Speos Components from the Simulation panel.
When creating a 3D Texture, the projection of some 3D Texture elements on the edges of the surface may appear as floating along the vertical axis and not positioned on the surface. (TFS 777597)
Try to:
  • manually modify the mapping file to correct the points that are in the wrong vertical axis.
  • change the CAD model to reduce the edge tolerance as much as possible and re-compute the 3D texture.
If you modify a Speos Light Box that is used in a Speos Pattern feature, the Speos Pattern does not update with the modified Speos Light Box. (TFS 706919) Clear the Pattern File field in the Speos Pattern feature, then reimport the Speos Light Box to get the modifications.
Speos Light Box: if you select a sub-feature of a Speos Light Box to add to a simulation, the link in the simulation to the sub-feature might be lost after the Speos Light Box Import re-compute. (TFS 639072) Select the Speos Light Box Import instead of the sub-feature of the Speos Light Box.
No OPT3D Mapping file is generated after creating a 3D Texture. (TFS 425524 SF 32620) Create a new 3D Texture to generate the OPT3DMapping file.
Placing the origin point of the 3D texture tangent to the support geometry cause construction issues. (TFS 202323) Slightly shift the point from the support surface so that it is no longer tangent with the support and regenerate the 3D texture.
Components cannot be imported as pattern files when creating a 3D texture. (TFS 256663) Use a body instead of a component.
