VOP on Surface Overview

VOP on Surface allows Speos to simulate non-closed bodies with volume properties.

A non-closed body is a group of surfaces with a same VOP/SOP material applied that are not physically joined.

Figure 1. Non-closed body example

The simulation will consider the surfaces of the non-closed body as joined during the run. Therefore, the VOP on Surface will be automatically applied to the non-closed body which will take into account the volume property.

To consider a surfaces as VOP on Surface, create a group of these surfaces.

This allows you to address principally cases like surface-based windshield.
