Privacy

The Privacy settings are available in the Project Preferences window, which can be displayed via a button in the Setup drop-down.

This allows the user to opt in or out of sending anonymous usage information to Zemax.

The following data is being collected:

• Zemax OpticStudio edition (Standard, Professional, or Premium)
• Number of times that OpticsViewer is launched
• Total time running
• Number of crashes
• Number of files loaded
• Types of analyses and tools that are being executed
• Number of executions of each analysis or tool
• Total time of how long each analysis or tool is being used

This data is completely anonymous and cannot be linked to your name or license number.
