Privacy

The Privacy settings are available in the OpticStudio Preferences window, which can be displayed via a button in the System section of the Setup Tab.

This allows the user to opt in or out of sending anonymous usage information to Zemax.

The following data is being collected:

• Ansys Zemax OpticStudio edition (Pro, Premium, or Enterprise)
• Number of times that OpticStudio is launched
• Total time running
• Number of crashes
• Number of files loaded
• Types of analyses and tools that are being executed
• Number of executions of each analysis or tool
• Total time of how long each analysis or tool is being used

This data is completely anonymous and cannot be linked to your name or license number.
