Point Cloud

This feature is only available in the Premium and Enterprise editions of Ansys Zemax OpticStudio.

This feature exports a surface to a 3D point cloud in PCD format.

Settings:

Surface The surface to be exported to a 3D point cloud.

X-Sampling Number of sampling points across the X axis of the surface.

Y-Sampling Number of sampling points across the Y axis of the surface.

Format Choose to export in either text, binary, or compressed binary formats.

Include surface normals If checked, export includes surface normals.
