Number settings
Change the display settings for numerical data values on datasheets and in selection results in Settings > Numbers.
- Click Settings > Numbers.
-
Choose the display notation for large values:
- Scientific Notation - display numbers in standard form (for example: 2.3 × 10-7).
- Engineering Notation - display numbers in standard form, using exponents that are multiples of 3 (for example: 0.23 × 10-6).
- Matched Engineering Notation - display numbers in engineering notation, using the same exponent for the minimum and maximum values in a range (for example: 0.23 × 10-6 - 1100 × 10-6).
Note:- Constants and Parameters are always displayed in Scientific Notation.
- Matched Engineering Notation is only applied to datasheets - Engineering Notation is used for selection results when this option is selected.
-
Enter a value between 0 and 6 into Number of figures to
set the significant figures displayed on datasheets and in selection
results.
Note: Constants and Parameters are always displayed to 6 significant figures.
-
Select Display data ranges as average values to show
range data as the geometric mean.
Note: Data values in the database and the ranking of selection results are not affected by this setting, only the display.
