Chart settings

Change bar, bubble, title, and label display settings in Settings > Chart.

  1. To access the Chart settings, Click Settings and select Chart.
  2. The following chart options can be changed:
    OptionDescription
    Show generic records in bold Whether generic record data labels are typeset in bold font or not.
    Use smoothed ellipses Whether to plot smoothed or unsmoothed ellipses on a bubble chart. Unsmoothed ellipses are recommended if pasting into a graphics application.
    Enable 'Remove record from subset' Allows data records to be removed individually from the current subset by right-clicking on a record on a Chart. The removed records will not be displayed on bubble or bar charts, or in the selection results list.
    Note: When you remove a record from a subset, the subset becomes a custom subset. To add a removed record back to the subset, select the original subset in the selection project panel.
    Minimum bubble size Sets the minimum display size of data points.
    Note: Applies to ellipse height and width on bubble charts, and bar height on bar charts.
    Line weight Sets the width of the bars on bar charts.
  3. To change the appearance of text in data sheets, you can select the font, text size, and color for the following chart components:
    • Axis title
    • Axis subtitle
    • Tick
    Tip: To change the font of labels on charts, go to the Labels tab.
