Transferring CAD Connected materials to Ansys Workbench

When you import a CAD model to a project in Ansys Workbench, its Granta MI assignments can be transferred as ‘CAD Connected’ materials. This preserves the associations between the CAD assignments and the part geometry, and allows you to update the material cards with relevant data for your simulation project.

After importing the 'CAD Connected' materials to your Engineering Data component, you can use MI Materials Gateway to update the material cards with data for simulation.
