Which logs will be collected?
Data is collected from log files located under C:\ProgramData\Granta\Granta MI on your Granta MI application servers.
Applications for which log data is collected
Log data will be collected from the following applications running in your cluster.
- MI Server
- MI Settings Service
- MI Selection Service
- MI Service Layer
- MI Viewer
- MI Data Flow
- MI Admin
- MI Toolbox
- MI Server Connection tool
- MI Server Manager tool
- MI Service Layer Configuration tool
- MI Viewer Configuration tool
- MI Settings Service Configuration tool
- MI Data Flow Configuration tool
- MI Data Flow Designer tool
- MI Material Calibration service
- MI Machine Learning services (Alchemite service, Orchestration service, API service)
Other data collected by the MI Log File Collector includes:
- MI Application Activity data, recording the MI applications and databases that are used, who used them and when, and whether data was viewed or edited.
- MI Audit logs, which record data import and export events, record deletion events, user access denial events, and some User Manager events. MI Audit Logging is an optional feature which may be enabled via configuration settings in MIServer.exe.config, see Granta MI Audit logging in Granta MI Administration and Configuration for details.
Applications for which no log data is collected
Logs are not collected for the following Granta MI applications or products:
- One MI applications, which do not generate any logs on an MI application server. This includes all of the end-user applications available in the One MI web application: Home, Explore, Favorites, Custom Searches, Import, Export, Job Queue, Settings, Data Flow Manager, AI+ (Machine Learning) applications, Material Calibration, and BoM Analyzer.
- Granta MI desktop applications: MI Materials Gateway, MI Enterprise Connect, MI Mat Analyzer
