Adding records and links to your visualization

You can add records and different types of links to a visualization in the Link Visualizer app.

Note: If you have links between records in different Granta MI databases, these can only be visualized in one direction: from the database in which the link information is defined.
  1. Select one or more records to see all the links types available listed in the panel on the right.

Links are grouped by the type of record that they link to.

You can also right-click your selection and choose Link types to see the available link types.

  2. Click a link type to add those linked records to your visualization.
You can add as many link types as you require
  3. Click a link type again to remove the linked records.
  4. Select another record to view its link types and build up your visualization.

When you add a link type to the visualization, if there are more than a certain number of linked records (by default, 20), the individual records won’t be shown. The cluster of links is shown as a single link, with the number of records in brackets.

You can click the node representing the link type, and use the panel on the right to filter or select the records that you want to display.
