Favorites

Favorite materials can be added to personal lists of records, allowing them to be accessed later. Favorites Lists can be published and made available to other users (for example, as an 'Approved Materials List').

These may be records that you work with frequently, or records used in a particular project, or with a particular set of properties. Favorites Lists can be personal, so only you can see them, or published, so all users can see them and subscribe to them.

Favorites Lists can include records from multiple tables and databases. It is important to note that the contents of Favorites Lists can be access-controlled, you will only see the records that you have permission to access.

In MI Explore you can:
  • Add records to your personal Favorites Lists.
  • Choose one or more Favorites Lists to use as filters when browsing and searching for records.
To add a record to a Favorites list:
  1. In the List, Thumbnails, Scatter plot, or Curves view, select one or more records and then right-click and choose Add to Favorites list.
  2. Choose a list. You won't be able to select any lists where the record is already included.
    • Select an existing list and then click Add to add the record to it.
    • To add the record to a new list, click Create new Favorites list, enter the list name, and click Save, then click Add.

More advanced Favorites list management features are available in MI Favorites.
