Data Flow Manager

MI Data Flow Manager can be used to launch Granta MI workflows, monitor the progress of running workflows (known as ‘workflow instances’) and perform tasks within workflows (workflow activities), for example assigning a test to a lab, or approving a request.

Each user has access to the actions and workflows that are relevant to them, based on the privileges and access levels defined in each workflow definition.

Data Flow Manager provides 3 different views:

• My items - this is where you can see your "in-flight" work items. Completing a step here, for example, reviewing or approving requests, allows the workflow progress to the next step in th workflow sequence.
• Start Workflow - this is where all of the workflows that you can launch are listed.
• Dashboard - this is an additional page where users with Data Administrator system security privileges can see and manage all "in-flight" workflows.
