The types of data that you can assign in BoM Analyzer when working in Restricted Substances mode.

Note: It is possible for a part or assembly in an XML BoM file
to have Process records as sub-items, but these are not relevant to
Restricted Substances analysis, and are not displayed in BoM

Material |
Represents a material in your Restricted Substances and Sustainability database. This may be a generic material (from the MaterialUniverse table) or an in-house material (from the Materials – in-house table).
When editing the BoM, a Material can be assigned to a Part. Note: It is possible for a Material in an XML BoM file to have Processes
as sub-items, but these are not relevant to Restricted Substances
analysis, and are not displayed in BoM Analyzer.

A specification representing a process, for example, a surface
treatment or KIT paint system, that may be assigned to a part.

Represents a coating, these may be generic or in-house.
A coating cannot be assigned to a Specification when editing the BoM. Coatings that are linked to specifications in the database will be shown in the expanded BoM when it is analyzed. |
