For Sustainability analysis, you can assign a single Primary Process to each material
in your BoM, and it is assumed to apply to 100% of the initial mass of material required to
manufacture the part.
You can only assign one Primary Process to a Material.
For more information about the types of process you can assign to the BoM, and how
they are used in Sustainability analysis, see Assigning processes for Sustainability.
To assign a primary process:
-
Identify the Material, and assign the Primary Process:
-
Right-click the Material and select .
-
Use the Explore search window to find a Primary Process, then
right-click and choose Assign.
-
If required, specify the Quantity and Unit of
Measure for the Primary Process.
In most cases, the Primary Process has a dimension of Mass of
part, and the Quantity and
Unit of Measure are automatically set to
100% when you assign the process.
If the Primary Process has a dimension other than Mass, you will need to
specify the Quantity for the process explicitly.
